Edward Kennedy to hospital

US Democratic Senator Edward Kennedy is resting and undergoing tests in a Boston hospital after experiencing what his office says was a "seizure".

Mr Kennedy, 76, is conscious and talking with his family after earlier being flown from Cape Cod to Massachusetts General Hospital. His doctors have said that he did not suffer a stroke, as initially feared.

The youngest brother of assassinated President John F Kennedy, he is one of the best-known Democratic politicians. He has been an active supporter of Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination for US president.

His office said in a statement that he was "resting comfortably". "It appears that Sen Kennedy experienced a seizure this morning," it said. "He is undergoing a battery of tests at Massachusetts General Hospital to determine the cause of the seizure."

And he …resigns!

New York Governor Eliot Spitzer has resigned, after being linked to a prostitution ring.

Flanked by his wife Silda, Mr. Spitzer, a leading Democrat, told a news conference: "I cannot allow my private failings to disrupt the people's work." He once again apologized for failing to live up to the standards he demanded of others - but he gave no details. Mr. Spitzer had allegedly been identified arranging to meet a prostitute in a Washington hotel.

Mr. Spitzer made his name as an investigator of organized crime, financial crime and prostitution.

The man definitely had the right connections! I bet he had a small black book with all the necessary telephone numbers!

Governor Was a Nice Guy, Good Tipper

A 22-year-old escort found on another call-girl Web site claimed in a phone interview that Gov. Eliot Spitzer had been one of her customers two years ago when he was New York attorney general and that he was a nice guy who tipped well.

"He didn't do anything that wasn't clean," she said, adding that she knew who he was because he had made calls from the attorney general's office in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Oh man, please don;t say anything else ... enough good things said!!! Good tipper? He didn't do anything that wasn't clean? No SM? Tch tch tch what do you expect from politicians nowadays!!!

Deadline to quit

New York State Governor Eliot Spitzer has been given a deadline to step down or face impeachment proceedings over allegations that he hired a prostitute.

His top Republican opponent in the New York Assembly gave him up to 48 hours - until early on Thursday - to resign. Mr Spitzer has not admitted paying for sex, but he did tell a news conference that he had let down his family.

things seem to get worst every minute for the Governor let's only hope that it was worth ...whatever is what he did!!!

Sex scandal with NY governor who says …sorry!

New York State Governor Eliot Spitzer has apologized amid allegations of involvement in a prostitution ring. The married father-of-three said he had acted in a way that violated his obligations to his family. Gov Spitzer, a Democrat, apologized to his family and the public, whom he said he should have served better.

He made no reference to allegations published by The New York Times, which said he had been involved with a high-priced prostitution service.

"I have disappointed and failed to live up to the standard I expected of myself," the first-term governor told a packed press conference at his Manhattan office. "I must now dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family," he added, as his wife of two decades, Silda, stood by his side. He declined to answer questions as to whether he would resign but said he would report back "in short order".

Oh man, he was trying to keep busy and away from unemployment a suffering working …girl! Seriously now, having a very limited knowledge of the Capitol Hill politics the big question is …was he with Hillary or Obama? Interesting the comment James Tedisco, the Republican state assembly leader let, “He has disgraced his office and the entire state of New York.” And when it comes to Republicans and prostitutes this sounds like a joke!
