Dreams by Jan Sand

I have been gifted with the most wonderful, the most exciting, and the most memorable dreams for all of my 95 years of life and for that alone this precious short existence has been a worthwhile experience, and, strangely, I have the most interesting experience of being able to dream while awake by merely closing my eyes and watching what goes on visually within that personal universe of my mind.

As a kid at school, whenever I was bored with the nonsense of what was going on I merely had to close my eyes to watch the unpredictable pictures my mind was creating while the dumb world outside stumbled through its predictable nonsense.

It is important to concede that the human mind, as well as whatever kinds of mind any other living thing may possess, was assembled automatically by the non-sentient power of a brilliant simple process of evolution to survive and proliferate and it does so by innovating pattern groups of sense input and storing them and abstracting them into all sorts of possibilities that may present opportunities and disasters of a very rough and primitive guess of what the universe may be like.
