History never learned by Thanos Kalamidas
Roman statesman Marcus Porcius Cato constantly repeated his admonition “Carthage must be destroyed” and this is how I feel sometimes when I somehow feel forced to remind repeating that Hitler didn’t come to power with a coup but he was democratically elected. Saddly, we never learned from history and that’s why we are doomed to repeat our mistakes. Again!
Despite to what everybody likes to believe, Vladimir Putin didn’t come to power with tanks parading in the Red Square neither killing all his opposition even though there are certain suspicions about that. He was elected by the people with scary high percentages and he ideologically he actually serves the same far-right social and political ideas Trump, evangelists and hardcore rednecks represent in USA. He is xenophobe, homophobe, authoritarian, hater of anything liberal and progressive.
