Pope jihad

“A man has been arrested in Turkey after firing shots outside the Italian consulate in Istanbul, reports say. No-one was injured in the incident, which reports said was believed to be in protest against a forthcoming visit to Turkey by Pope Benedict XVI.”

That was on the news; the same time the man who tried to kill the last Pope, Jan Paul II, Mehmet Ali Agca another Turk from the paramilitary group, grey wolves has warned the Vatican that ‘the visit …might be not a good idea!”

So what’s the deal with the ‘European’ Turkey? And just when you might be wandering that you find out that the Turkish prime minister and the foreign minister are going to be …away during Pope’s visit. They have a very important NATO meeting; I suppose they don’t want to be there if anything happens!!!
